Attempted Armed Robbery

On Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at approximately 10:45 p.m. the Martinsburg Police Department responded to Domino’s Pizza located at 1002 Winchester Avenue following an Attempted Armed Robbery. Employees at the business informed responding officers that a black male wearing a black coat, blue jeans and white shoes entered the business, brandished a knife and demanded money. The suspect leaned over the counter, grabbed one of the employees and held the knife to his throat resulting in a minor injury to the employee. After the suspect was unable to obtain money he left the business. A medic unit from the Martinsburg Fire Department was summoned to the scene but the victim declined medical treatment. Officers and a K-9 unit searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

Additional descriptors of the suspect are 6’02”, 180 lbs. and short black hair. The suspect was captured on the business surveillance video wearing a Baltimore Orioles ball cap and a Bud Light towel concealing his face.
