Drug Arrest Operation

On Thursday, July 16, 2009, the Martinsburg Police Department conducted an arrest warrant operation, following an on-going drug investigation within the corporate limits of Martinsburg. As a result of the investigation, 17 persons were sought for drug distribution charges and as of the time of this release, 10 have been arrested. During the operation, a search warrant was executed at 323 South Raleigh Street, Apartment 3, Martinsburg WV, in which the Special Response Team was utilized to gain entry and secure the residence. As a result of the search warrant, Donnell Parker was arrested from the residence without incident on two outstanding warrants and an amount of marijuana was seized.

The Following individuals were arrested at various locations in Martinsburg WV during the operation for drug related offenses:

Dameon Hairston- DOB: 11/06/79- Delivery of Crack Cocaine

Taylor Wasson Jr.- DOB: 02/14/85- Delivery of an Imitation Controlled Substance

Edarion Mosley- DOB: 09/15/88- Delivery of Marijuana

Duane Martin- DOB: 08/14/67- Delivery of Crack Cocaine

Donnell Parker- DOB: 09/11/54- Delivery of Crack Cocaine; Delivery of Heroin

Gilbert Shepherd-DOB: 10/30/55- Delivery of Crack Cocaine

Shawn Yates- DOB: 07/14/71- Delivery of an Imitation Controlled Substance

Moses Saxon III- DOB: 10/26/58- Delivery of Crack Cocaine

Lottie Dodson- DOB: 04/28/43- Delivery of a Controlled Substance X3

Frank Carper- DOB: 06/03/67- Delivery of a Controlled substance

The listed individuals were arraigned at the Berkeley County Judicial Center by Magistrate Harry Snow and were given various bonds. All of the aforementioned persons were remanded to the Eastern Regional Jail in lieu of bond with the exception of Taylor Wasson Jr., Lottie Dodson and Frank Carper Jr. Arrest warrants were previously issued by Magistrate Harry Snow and Magistrate Randy Smith.

The Martinsburg Police Department continues to actively investigate drug trafficking offenses within the Martinsburg City limits and seek to arrest those persons involved with its distribution. During the last calendar year (2008), the Martinsburg Police Department made 545 felony and misdemeanor drug arrests.
