Martinsburg Police is seeking the communities assistance in locating a suspect in regards to a shooting incident which occurred on 9 15 09 in the area of 114 North Maple Ave. In this incident a female was shot in the upper leg and taken to Martinsburg City Hospital and treated and released for her gun shot injury.
Martinsburg Police were able to ascertain the identity of the suspect and obtain a felony warrant for his arrest on the charge of Malicious Wounding from State Magistrate Sandra Miller.
Martinsburg Police are also looking into the possibility that a shooting which occurred in the 100 block of Centre Street later in the evening on 9 15 09 may be related to this suspect. In this shooting incident no one was injured but a projectile did enter a residence through a window on Centre Street.
Martinsburg Police are asking anyone with information in regards to the suspect’s exact whereabouts is urged to call the Martinsburg Police at 304 264 2100 and or Berkeley County Crime Solvers at 304 267 4999.
